When we first started homeschooling in March 2002 I was reading, reading, reading, in between playing with the kids and checking out the local sites (conservation parks, science centre etc.) - we were all busily deschooling. I decided to write up a little outline of what I thought about real learning. I posted it on our big kitchen bulletin board and there it stayed for almost two years.

Looking back now, there's actually not too much I would change about it ... though I think I'd rename it from "Our Educational Philosophy" to "Our Philosophy of Learning", as reflected in the title of this section!
