Frequently Asked Questions

Well, I may at some point pull together my own FAQ page with typical questions and answers tailored for those just getting started. For now there are a number of very good ones already out there on the web so I thought I'd link to them and save you some search time.

Joyfully Rejoycing is Joyce Fetteroll's site which is set up mostly in question and answer format, making it a great, big FAQ all on its own!.

FAQs About Self-Directed Learning is a great FAQ from Life Learning magazine that hits all the "biggies".

FAQ's has short answers to frequently asked questions at unschooling.com.

Unschooling FAQ by Amy Bell has 5 interesting sections with answers to some of the common questions asked about unschooling.

And there are also a couple books set up in the Q&A format for those who prefer that:

Parenting a Free Child: An Unschooled Life by Rue Kream (freechild.info); and

The Homeschooling Book of Answers - The 88 Most Important Questions Answered by Homeschooling's Most Respected Voices by Linda Dobson.

However, when you start reading the same questions and answers over and over again without finding any new information it's time to put it to the test. Take a break and go hang out with your kids!
